WOW. What an election can do!

Welcome to the roller coaster that is the American democratic experiment! Not too long ago we were facing automobile fuel efficiency cuts, a direct slap in the face to both climate change and even the auto industry. Today, well, a new day, a new chapter, and a new and bold promise to further accelerate the transition away from the internal combustion engine to electric technology that not only saves piles of money, but eliminates ton upon ton of toxic and earth-warming pollutants.

President Joe Biden has just announced that he will replace the entire US federal fleet with electric vehicles made in the US. The US federal fleet consists of over 645,000 vehicles, according to the latest Federal Fleet Report. This includes 245k civilian vehicles, 173k military vehicles, and 225k post office vehicles.
