Kudos to KTOO’s Jeremy Hsieh for his good story on Renewable Juneau’s Carbon Offset Fund. Our advisory committee just today reached out to the first two local families to inform them of their successful applications for funding. If all goes well, these two homes could be off oil heat in a matter of weeks or less.

What does this mean? Roughly 34,000 pounds less carbon dioxide in our air over the next year. And, again the next year, and the next year…

Not to mention the fact that we have a handful of other applications to process!
